We are Gas Safe Registered Commercial Gas Engineers
When dealing with something as volatile as natural gas, you need to know your business premises are in good hands. Not just good hands, safe hands. At ODM Services, we guarantee the safety of your building, its users and the gas powered systems within it, by hiring only the best, highly trained, extremely skilled and Gas Safe Registered commercial gas engineers to work on our team. We work to industry standards IGE/UP/1 to give you the best possible service and ensure the safety of your employees or tenants.
Gas safety is in the forefront of our minds in everything we do, whether it’s carrying out an annual test on a gas appliance, or during a full system gas installation, or checking gas piping for leaks, we are constantly checking and testing to ensure the safety of the gas piping and any systems connected to it.
As Gas Safe Registered Engineers , we perform annual inspections on all gas appliances including commercial boilers, heating systems and Kitchen appliances, as well as smaller systems for rented residential properties, as required by law. We can provide this service as a one off for your commercial business premises or for your residential, rented accommodation. We can also provide a contracted service. Our contracted services ensure your Gas Safety Checks are carried out annually, contacting your residents for you to arrange an appointment or liaising with business premises direct to ensure access, so you don’t need to be there.
New gas pipelines require a tightness test before they can be used, to prevent gas leaks and provide a guarantee of safe usage.
We also advise that an annual gas tightness test and inspection be carried out on existing pipework at the same time as your gas appliance service or gas safety check to remain compliant with The Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998, or at any time when the smell or presence of gas is detected.
We provide a full commercial gas testing service to ensure your commercial property is compliant with safety regulations and to keep your insurance validated.
By injecting an inert gas into a gas pipe to mix with natural gas already in the pipework, hazardous, combustible gas can be safely removed. This purge procedure is required before the decommissioning of any gas pipes to render them safe for removal. It is also essential that new gas pipes are purged before use to ensure the correct mix and rate from the outset in order to prevent stratification or enveloping within the new gas lines, which can lead to appliance failure at best and at worst explosive ignition of gas within the pipeline.
