Did you know that ODM Services also supply and install renewable energy sources? We now offer installation and servicing of:
If you are unsure whether a heat pump or solar panels will work for your home or business, we can provide a survey to see what renewable energy solution is best for you.
An air source heat pump captures heat from outside and transfers it via a fluid into the heating system of your premises. To do this it uses electricity. The heat is then transferred to water, which then feeds into your building’s heating system. It can also be used to heat your water supply. An air source heat pump can save the average three bedroom semi detached house around £350 a year on fuel bills, compared to an old G rated gas boiler. This is the equivalent of 2900kg of CO2 saved per year. For more information visit the Energy Saving Trust website.
Ground source heat pumps work in a similar way to air source heat pumps, in that they take heat from outside and bring it in. The difference is that they use thermal transfer fluid which is fed through a loop of pipe under the ground to absorb heat from the ground itself. The heat then goes through a heat exchanger and into the heat pump before transferring the heat into the fluid stored there and on into your heating system and water supply. An in depth guide to ground source heat pumps can be found on the Energy Saving Trust website. Savings made for an average 3 bedroom house compared to a G rated gas boiler are around £710 or 4500kg CO2 per year.
Solar panels capture the heat of the sun and then, depending upon the system selected, can transfer that heat energy into electricity using photovoltaic panels or provide hot water via solar thermal systems. Heating of your property can also harness the power of the sun by using a solar assisted heat pump to heat hot water. The best use of solar power greatly depends upon your roof size and aspect. The right system can help reduce the cost of running your business or property.
At ODM we install charging points inside of properties such as within garages or car ports as well as in outside environments such as driveways and on the road.
As part of our drive to provide the best service and value via energy efficiency, we also carry out underfloor heating installation
