Project: Bower Farm, Mersham, Ashford
A farmstead development of five luxury homes designed by renowned architects “Holloway” on the semi-rural edge of Mersham village in Ashford, Kent.
ODM were contracted for a full mechanical installation covering all five properties. This involved all pipework, drainage and heating systems, plus installation of sanitary ware.
As a new build project, we were required to provide sustainable heating and so supplied and installed Daikin air source heat pumps and unvented cylinders to all properties as their main source of heating and hot water.
Underfloor heating was installed downstairs, with radiators installed upstairs, all connected to the air source heat pumps. Each room can be heated individually, offering the owners full control of their living environment and helping to save both energy and money.
We also installed sanitary ware throughout all 5 properties, executing this with our usual superior craftsmanship and keen attention to detail that is fitting for these luxury homes.
Although this was a single development, each home was different in terms of size, layout and finish. Each was approached as a separate project, allowing our team to work on each building as an individual installation. This benefitted the project in terms of design – these were luxury homes and each deserved unique attention, however the ability to install the same mechanical equipment enabled economies of scale that meant the budget went further. We are very pleased with the end result!
