We are so proud to announce that we have received a win at the Energy Efficiency Awards for the second year running!
This time it was the New Build project category that we won, and we were also commended in all three of the other categories we were nominated in – we couldn’t be happier with the results!
The New Build Project of the year award recognises an outstanding new build property or group of properties that maximise use of the energy efficiency measures installed. ODM were nominated for the Bower Farm, Ashford new build project, which fit the criteria perfectly.
The project had a whole host of energy saving measures built in, including air source heat pumps to heat the buildings and hot water. These provided a saving of 3-5 times the energy that would have been required to heat the homes using gas. This, paired with a state of the art underfloor heating system on the ground floor saved an incredible further 25% on heating costs.
Another criteria of the award was to ensure the project benefited the local community. The judges were impressed by the project’s desire to be both modern and energy efficient whilst taking inspiration from the beautiful Kent countryside and ensuring that it was enhanced by the build. The local community impact was also recognised, providing jobs in the area and offering increased trade to local amenities once completed.

ODM were also Commended for the second year running in the Boiler and Heating Installer category and additionally in the Small Scale Project and Business Development Manager/Director of the year categories.
