Another school project – this time for Wyvern School in Ashford, who needed a boiler room refit.
The boiler room required new boilers and pumps. We installed three Purewell Variheat Mk2 PV140c Natural Gas Condensing boilers boasting an impressive 95.8% Gross Seasonal Efficiency.
As part of this refit, we included a plate heat exchanger, which uses metal plates to transfer heat between fluids. This facilitated a much faster flow rate for the hot water supplying the school. Due to the high heat transfer efficiency of a heat plate exchanger, this will also help reduce water heating costs.
Our electricity engineers also worked on site to replace the old control panel, fitting a new, easy to use interface that makes adjusting the heating much simpler, giving the school greater control over their heating and helping them to economise.
